Rebel Boudoir makes YOU the priority, always!

I started my boudoir business almost a decade ago and made my initial business plan emphasis on a safe, welcoming environment for all my clients. Though that is still ranked #1 on my must-have-for-every-person-who-graces-my-studio-space, I have learned year after year about the ways and benefits of a streamline, informative, and detail-orientated client experience from the moment an inquiry enters my inbox.

This way of thinking (in my experience) isn't natural to an artist; we yearn to create, not fill out spreadsheets! So, as my business grew I started looking at Rebel from a potential client's perspective and started asking myself "What would I see if I booked a session with myself? What would make me trust a stranger to see me in a very intimate and vulnerable way? Am I getting valuable information from this business -enough to invest?"


These questions I asked myself changed the business game for me. It gave me a motivation to revamp my entire business system - which I am STILL tweaking year after year! My job not only became a photographer but an educator as to how my process works, what to expect from your experience with me, how much the investment in a boudoir session is, what makes me special, and (hopefully) what leaves any client with all the information that they need to know that they are in the best hands ever from that first email. Little details like Lingerie Inspiration Guides, Session Week Prep Guides, Travel Recommendation Catalogs, pre-session stretching suggestions, and even a 24 hour CAP response time on all communications all have become part of what makes me love and value my business - aside from capturing beautiful photos, of course! It took a TON of work, but I am so damn proud to be able to make this content* (*without AI!!!) for my clients and take some of the stress out of all the planning that goes into a session.


I think I am really contemplating this side of the business because Casey and I are in the thick of wedding planning ourselves. With that, comes interacting with a variety of wedding vendors with varying personalities, quirks, responses, and communication styles. Knowing how I run my business and how I treat my own brides that book with me -it just makes me really happy. As a bride, I am noticing all the experiences we are having and I keep finding myself relating it back to how I do things differently and how I serve my client everyday. I am not one to brag, so I will chalk it up to a lot of time and hard work and some serious self reflection.


At the end of the day, Rebel Boudoir/myself is a vendor (and more so every year a wedding vendor!) so any ease I can offer a client/bride is a win in my book! My priority is always going to be YOU, THE CLIENT and how I can make this truly the very best experience!
