What exactly is boudoir photography?

Great question! Boudoir photos usually involve a certain amount of undress and usually includes lingerie, intimate apparel, loungewear, or nothing at all! Sessions are meant to embrace and expose a women's sexuality and femininity as well as her badass qualities. My style is more lifestyle than standard posing (though I will help coach you with poses through the entire session- don't worry about that!) You'll see most of the images in your gallery are very relaxed natural, and don't forget- sexy!

What is provided in the session fee?

Your session fee of $500 covers a ton of stuff! First off, it secures your session date on my calendar. But here's a breakdown of what else the fee includes ::
 
-your photoshoot - the reason why we are here! up to 1.5 hours of arching your back, pointing those toes, and rocking some hot lingerie!
 
-wardrobe consulting - in case you need outfit advice. Email me links to outfits you like, text me photos while you're out shopping, or ask me for my go-to shops! I'm here to help!
 
-light snacks and drinks - at every session I always provide fresh fruit and other light snacks like crackers and hummus, and/or mini cupcakes or pastries for you to enjoy while you're here. The fridge is always stocked with light alcohol (mimosa, anyone?) as well as non-alcoholic drinks like lemonade, soda, and fruit juice! 
 
-professional hair and makeup - you will be provided with full face glam WITH lashes as well as a slay-all-day hairstyle for your session! Go ahead and plan a date or girl's night after because you will be looking and feeling in.cred.i.ble! 
 
-access to the Rebel client closet - we have some awesome, unique pieces to add to your wardrobe selection for the day! Before we start shooting, you're more than welcome to take a look at some of the lingerie and body jewelry we have to incorporate in your session! Though this is totally optional, feel free to take advantage of it! Our pieces complement sizes XS-1XL and range from bra and panty sets to bodysuits to body chains.

-head-to-toe posing - the women you see in my portfolio are not models. But they freaking look like it! From the moment we start shooting, I will coach you into all the positions I need you to be in to get the shot. If it's complicated or difficult to verbalize, I DO THE POSE FOR YOU FIRST. I also fix your hair, your bra straps, adjust lace and garters, and will remind you to "point those toes-heels up!" at least 100 times. haha Long story short- I am a professional poser and primper. You're in the best hands, girlfriend. 
 
-reveal and ordering session - cause you wanna see the magic we made! This session is the time we sit down and actually get to view your gallery of lightly edited photos, select all your favorites, and order products! Typical reveals last 1-2 hours. But don't worry, I will be there to help you make selections every step of the way! Clients are also able to select their favorites solo using a watermarked Proofing Gallery. All order information must be completed within 24 hours of a Proofing Gallery being sent.
 
-custom retouching - got bruises or blemishes? no problem! After your Reveal Session is over, I start fully editing your images! My normal editing process (after you select your favs for ordering!) is general skin smoothing, blemish removal, etc. Generally, anything that is permanent on your body (like tattoos) stay unless we have discussed having them removed in post usually prior to your session. (some extra fees apply for this service)

-complimentary product shipping - to any address of your choosing within the USA! Once products are delivered to our main studio in KCMO for a quality check, we package and ship off your order to anywhere you've requested. This is usually completed within two (2) business days of receipt. You always will be kept in the loop on the ordering process and will receive a final shipment email with an itemized list of what's included in your package, album care instructions, as well as your tracking information. **Please be mindful that our albums are custom designed by me and then handbound by an exclusive boudoir printing team in Canada and thus take time to create. Average delivery to KCMO is close to three weeks from the order submission date.

Question 3

How do I book and pay for my session?

When you are ready to book a session with me I will send you an invoice with your non-refundable session fee + the amount of your selected Collection. You will also be sent a boudoir contract that can be signed electronically. Once the session fees have been processed and contract signed, you're officially on the calendar! Yay! Payment is super easy as I accept all major credit cards, Square, and Venmo.
Payment plans are available on all Collections offered. All sessions and products must be paid in full one (1) week prior to session date.
 
*Invoices paid IN FULL on the day it's sent will receive a $100 Credit.
*Upgraded Collections and Add-On Products are ordered and delivered when all balances are paid in full. Need a payment plan? Just ask!!

Question 4

What are the costs of products?

There is a breakdown of all the products I offer in the client session guide which is sent via email. The initial session fee of $500 includes hair and makeup, wardrobe consulting, location prep, the actual photoshoot, and editing as well as setting up for your Reveal Session (to name a few!). Samples of products are shown at your Reveal Session and are ordered during that time only. If you opt to pay your Session Fee + Collection invoice in full on the day it's sent to you, you will receive a $100 Credit.
 
Most clients average $3300-$4300 total for sessions and custom products. 
Rebel Collections include varying print and digital products . We also provide custom add on options like metals, canvas, or a Rebel viewfinder!

Question 5

I just want to buy the digital photos from my session. How much is that?

Once we select the images to be included in your album of choice, you will also receive the corresponding digital files on a beautiful glass USB as part of your selected Collection. 
Digital photos cannot be purchased individually.

Do you offer payment plans?

Accepted Answer

ABSOLUTELY we do! We understand that a boudoir session is an investment in YOU and we want every woman to have this amazing and empowering experience!
 
0% (zero percent) interest payment plans are available to purchase sessions and products. Payment can be made via credit card, PayPal Credit, Venmo, cash, or personal checks only.  (CashApp is not accepted.) 25% of the product order total is due at the reveal/ordering session and is NON-REFUNDABLE. ALL payment plans must be completed within 12 consecutive, monthly installments and are NON-REFUNDABLE. Missed payments will result in a $50 CHARGE for every 7 (seven) days late. After 3 (three) missed payments, session photos will be deleted, and purchase order will be terminated to end installment payments.
 
ALL PAYMENTS MADE PRIOR TO MISSED PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Question 7

Do I have to pick my products before my session?

Collections must be selected prior to your session and will be invoiced based on which Collection you select. But don't worry! We can always upgrade your Collection at your Reveal Session if there are more images that you just can't live without.

Question 8

What should I bring with me?

Bring as many sexy outfits as you want! My packages include professional wardrobe consulting and we can get in a variety of looks while you're with me. Bra and panty sets, bustiers, teddies, and lingerie sets are great starts. So are knee high socks and oversized sweaters! Whatever makes YOU feel the sexiest! ;) We typically shoot for 1-1.5 hours (depending on intricacies of your hair and makeup choices/application) and we can usually fit in 2 outfits/looks in that time. If you book a session and are at a loss at what to wear, I am more than happy to help you prep!

Question 9

Can I bring a girlfriend to my session?

I TOTALLY get it! Getting skimpy in front of someone you don't know that well can be super intimidating. I prefer you come solo so I can give YOU my undivided attention, but if your nerves are an absolute wreck, feel free to bring your best gal with you for that extra encouragement! Guests are allowed to hang with us all through your hair and make-up application, sip mimosas, and treat themselves to snacks. HOWEVER once shooting starts, ya girl's gotta wait away from shooting areas. No photos or videos while I am working, please. It's very distracting and the studio space isn't large enough to have multiple people in most shooting areas.
 
IF you have an escort coming with you during your hair and make-up application, please let me know ahead of time.

Question 10

I need to rush my order. What do I do?

I edit images based on the first in, first out process. If, for some reason, you need your images edited faster than my normal turnaround time for Reveal Sessions, I can do so for an added charge of $400. This will put your images first in line and guarantees a turnaround of edits within one week.

If you have had your Reveal Session and need to RUSH delivery on ordered items, I would be happy to contact my printers and get that price for you!! 
IF orders have already been submitted, rush options may not be available.
Rush requests cannot be submitted during peak vendor seasons - Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.

Question 11

Is there a discount if I don't want hair and makeup?

Accepted Answer

Sorry, chica! Hair styling and makeup (with lashes!) is complimentary with each session, so the price does not change if you opt out of that amazing service. Your boudoir session is about celebrating YOU so let yourself be pampered for the day!

Question 12

I can't make my session! What's your reschedule policy?

Accepted Answer

We get it, life happens! If you can't make your session, please let us know AT LEAST 48 hours in advance! You are allowed ONE rescheduled session at a discounted rate of $250. Your second rescheduled session (and any after that) will result in an additional Reschedule Fee of $500. 
Clients are limited to two reschedules per contract/per calendar year.

Question 13

Do you work for free or are you able to give me a discount?

Sorry about that, but all of our prices are set based on talent, education, and quality. We do have a couple mini session options throughout the year, though! Remember this is an INVESTMENT in YOU. 
Payment plans (with ZERO % interest) are always an option; just ask if you would like to take advantage of that!

Question 14

What if I have tan lines?!

With warmer weather comes more time spent outdoors in the sun's harmful (yet glorious) rays. WE FEEL YOU! Those Spring and Summer days are calling for long hours hanging with friends, by the pool with a margarita, or a nice beach vaca to get us out of that winter slump. 
 
Unless you sunbathe in the nude, tan lines are DEF something to consider when your boudoir session is coming up. Some babes rock their tan lines with pride (usually because their spouse thinks they're super sexy!) but others prefer an even tone all over, which is fine too! IF you have tan lines and they've gotta go before your session, I suggest visiting a professional tanning salon. (I recommend my favs in Atlanta when you book with me!)
 
You may need to invest in several visits to get your desired results depending on their recommendations and how drastic your lines are. 
 
My best advice is :
 
1. Be aware of your outfit/swim suit choices while you're out in the sun and the resulting tan lines they will create.
2. Plan ahead with professional spray tanning if you don't want your tan lines showing for your session.
3. Select lingerie that covers/matches your existing tan lines.
4. Always wear high SPF sunscreen (not just to prevent tan lines, but also to keep away burns and prevent skin cancer)! 
 
**AVOID self tanning correction; in my experience, this usually doesn't turn out well.

How do I get to the studio?

Our Kansas City sessions take place in a private rental studio in the West Bottoms KCMO. The specific address and parking instructions will be given in Client Pre-Session Prep Guides.

Question 17

What is your Privacy Policy?

At Rebel Boudoir, your privacy is of the utmost importance! Images from your session are automatically PRIVATE which means they are never posted on social media, used for promotion, products samples, submission to publication, etc. If you decide that sharing your photos is absolutely fine with you, a separate release contract will be sent to you that allows me to do just that. Contracts are specific to each client and can vary based on the comfort level of sharing. If a contract is not signed, the images remain private. Feel free to ask about my different levels of Photo Releases; I am more than happy to give you more information and show you examples!
 
*It is common practice that clients are never tagged in social media posts and names are never used unless that action has been requested specifically by the client. Such requests will also be stated in contract form.
